You realise there still 2 more years to wait until the release of a book you’ve already been waiting 3 years already to read. Yep this book better be worth the 5 years wait!
Yes Maya banks has confirmed that she is planning to release Highland Ever After in 2018! We still have quite some time to wait.
That is unless it gets pushed back to be released again. This is me waiting for Highland Ever After
Am I the only one still holding out on this book?
P.s. If you are wondering where I have been I’ve handed in my notice at work because it just was not for mew anymore. So i’m trying to find a new job, you forget when you’ve been in permanent employment for some time how long a job application takes. Please wish me luck 🙂
My excitement knows no bounds today as I receive my first order from forbidden planet which contained one of my favourite author’s Nalini Singh books. I love her guild hunter series and have been reading these books for years, and will continue to read the series as there are more books planned. Imagine my disappointment when I learned she was coming to London, which is only an hour and a half drive away from where I live to sign Archangels Enigma at Forbidden Planet but I couldn’t go because of work. I know the joys of working life. However Forbidden Planet the wonderful people that they were selling the signed books for people who wanted them and couldn’t make it. I already own archangels enigma but I couldn’t turn a signed book by one of my favourite authors down. So I ordered it and it finally came today!
So I thought I’d share the unboxing.
Forbidden Planet unfortunately don’t have signed copies of the book left but if you live in the Uk and are interested in purchasing the normal book from them, then click here. This is one of my best book buys this year, it going to be a prized possession on my bookshelf. I paid for this book and the post is not sponsored or anything 🙂
Happy Reading! Has anyone else purchased any new signed book or any book you’re excited about recently?
You would think I would learn from my mistakes. One of my rules about books is if there is highly anticipated book that I am waiting for I will not go on Social Media or on certain parts of the internet incase of spoilers because other people are just as excited about it as I am. So you all know I was very excited about Shadow Study by Maria V Snyder (and I still am). I have not started this book yet because I decided I would buy the US cover because I prefer it and wanted a physical copy of the book to go with all my other Maria Snyder books instead of having it on my Kindle as an ebook, and so am still waiting for it to be delivered. Anyway the point of this post is I was just scrolling along my Instagram page and looking at other peoples post and suddenly wham! I stumbled onto a picture that someone had posted of the last page in Shadow Study and I came across what I think is a massive spoiler. I cannot believe it because I cannot unsee it! The picture did not mention it was a spoiler or anything and it was a Kindle Ebook so I did not initially know the picture was of Shadow Study. Oh well, my lesson for next time is stay away from Social Media! You would think I would have learnt considering this happened with Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead.
Anyone else stumbled across a spoiler about a book you’re excited out by mistake?
I popped into my local Waterstones today and found out that Becca Fitzpatrick will be coming to my town in the UK to do a Black Ice book talk, Q&A and a book signing on Friday 14th November! Plus I managed to get a ticket. Woohoo! This is my first ever book signing that I will be going to and I am very very excited. I do not own any signed merchandise as yet, other than some signed bookmarks from the lovely Sarena and Sasha the authors of the Pendant Trilogy.
I am probably going to be a total nerd but I can’t believe I get to see Becca Fitzpatrick I love her Hush Hush series. I splurged and purchased a Hardback copy of Black Ice rather than paperback.
Is anyone else in the UK going to the book signing Becca Fitzpatrick is doing for Waterstones?
The Hobbit – J R R Tolkien
I went grocery shopping and came back with The Hobbit (Yes I am on a book buying ban..oops). I thought I’d give reading it a go as I’ve seen so many people post pictures on Instrgram about it. Also I have heard good things about the books and ofcourse I love the films. My way of thinking is this is a introduction, if I enjoy this book I may pick up The Lord Of the Rings trilogy (Yes I have not read these as yet). So now I need some advice, I love The Lord Of the Rings films but am unsure if reading the books will confuse me too much. I kind of imagine pages of Orcs speaking in their language. Not sure I can keep up with that if it is the case lol.
Anyone who can give me any advice?
Happy Reading (Hopefully :P)!
