You realise there still 2 more years to wait until the release of a book you’ve already been waiting 3 years already to read. Yep this book better be worth the 5 years wait!

Yes Maya banks has confirmed that she is planning to release Highland Ever After in 2018! We still have quite some time to wait.

That is unless it gets pushed back to be released again. This is me waiting for Highland Ever After

skeleton-reading

Am I the only one still holding out on this book?

P.s. If you are wondering where I have been I’ve handed in my notice at work because it just was not for mew anymore. So i’m trying to find a new job, you forget when you’ve been in permanent employment for some time how long a job application takes. Please wish me luck 🙂

OMG Highland Ever After

While on book depository doing my Christmas shopping I noticed that Highland Ever After is set to come out on 1st January 2016 and I had to share this with everyone. Literally pinch me I think I’m dreaming, there’s not many days left till Janurary and so I cannot wait. I really hope the book is released this time round. I have it on pre-order again and I literally have my fingers crossed it’s actually going to come out. The frustration I have had over waiting for this book is unreal, it been nearly 3 years! 3 freaking years since the last one was released.

If anyone else is waiting for this book head over to Book Depository to pre-order it. I have not seen it on any other website, I have checked Amazon, WHSmith, The Book people and Waterstones but no where else seems to have it. I guess the good thing is book depository have it at the price of £4.72 which is great. Click the here if you want to check it out.

Am I the only one waiting for this book to come out? Does anyone else understand my emotions and frustration with this book??

New books ordered

new-books-quotes-2

As you all know I put myself on a book buying ban and I am only allowed to buy a book if I sell ones I already have and do not want to pay for it or read 5 books. Well both things happened this weekend. I have managed to read 5 books on my TBR (some reviews are pending but I’ll get round to them) and I sold some of my other books on Ebay. This means I can buy 2 books! Woohoo!

First of all I need some sort of medal. I have resisted purchasing the Illustrated Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone even though everyone on Instagram and my friends are going on about it. Hopefully I will get this for Christmas or if I sell more books or read 5 more from my TBR. On a side note it is on offer for ÂŁ15.00 on Book Depository at the moment. The link is here if you want to check it out

So the books I purchased are: Winter and Archangel’s Enigma. I cannot wait to read these books. I am so excited for Naassir’s story. Not as much as I want Bluebell’s story but still. Nalini Singh is an amazing writer and I look forward to reading this book. I also have to say I love that the cover of this book matches the others in this series. It such an awesome cover too.

Winter is the continuation of Marissa Meyer’s The Lunar Chronicles and I am so so excited for it. I really need to post my reviews of the previous books but I’ll get to that! Same with this book, how amazingly cool is the cover of this book?

Interested in the two books I mentioned? I have added the synopsis of both below with a link to Book Depository if you want to check them out (and not I am not being sponsored or paid to include this). I ordered my books from them too.

Book Depository have Winter at the price of ÂŁ6.29 at the moment which is an amazing offer for the paperback book if you’re interested in purchasing it.

Archangel’s Enigma (Guild Hunter, #8) – Nalini Singh

9780575112599

Naasir is the most feral of the powerful group of vampires and angels known as the Seven, his loyalty pledged to the Archangel Raphael. When rumors surface of a plot to murder the former Archangel of Persia, now lost in the Sleep of the Ancients, Naasir is dispatched to find him. For only he possesses the tracking skills required—those more common to predatory animals than to man.

Enlisted to accompany Naasir, Andromeda, a young angelic scholar with dangerous secrets, is fascinated by his nature—at once playful and brilliant, sensual and brutal. As they race to find the Sleeping archangel before it’s too late, Naasir will force her to question all she knows…and tempt her to walk into the magnificent, feral darkness of his world. But first they must survive an enemy vicious enough to shatter the greatest taboo of the angelic race and plunge the world into a screaming nightmare…

Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4) – Marissa Meyer

winter-final

Princess Winter is admired by the Lunar people for her grace and kindness, and despite the scars that mar her face, her beauty is said to be even more breathtaking than that of her stepmother, Queen Levana.

Winter despises her stepmother, and knows Levana won’t approve of her feelings for her childhood friend—the handsome palace guard, Jacin. But Winter isn’t as weak as Levana believes her to be and she’s been undermining her stepmother’s wishes for years. Together with the cyborg mechanic, Cinder, and her allies, Winter might even have the power to launch a revolution and win a war that’s been raging for far too long.

Can Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter defeat Levana and find their happily ever afters?

Happy Book Mail!!

It’s nearly here…Countdown

US Cover                                                UK Cover

We all have books that we cannot wait to be released, Shadow Study is one of those books for me. The first book review I ever posted on this blog was of Poison Study which is the first book in this Study Series so it holds a special place for me. I have read the Study Series multiple times and so am excited to see what new adventures come about for Yelena and Valek.

Recently saraletourneau posted an author interview which was interesting and insightful, it also has made me want the book right now. Check out her post 🙂

As I am impatient I did apply on Netgallery for an ARC copy of this book, but unfortunately my request was turned down for it. Oh well moving forward my mission is that I will get an ARC of Night Study when it is due to come out. I just want 12 March to get here soon so I can get my hands on my pre-ordered book. I decided to get it as a Kindle Ebook because the UK covers for the original Study books are undergoing a revamp and the current cover does not match my current series so I’m hoping when the original books covers are changed this one might be too, otherwise I’m buying the US cover for this. See below…

This is what my current UK series looks like.

What the UK covers are changing to.

If you have not read this series then you are missing out. Pick it up now!!

Release of Breaking The Rules by Katie McGarry

If you’re not aware that Breaking The Rules by Katie McGarry was released yesterday, you are missing out. You all know how much I loved Pushing the Limits. Both Noah and Echo were amazing characters and this book is based on them, so when I heard this book was going to be released I put it on pre-order. I am mega excited to read this book and cannot wait to see what happens to Noah and Echo.

Synopsis:

For new high school graduate Echo Emerson, a summer road trip out west with her boyfriend means getting away and forgetting what makes her so . . . different. It means seeing cool sights while selling her art at galleries along the way. And most of all, it means almost three months alone with Noah Hutchins, the hot, smart, soul-battered guy who’s never judged her. Echo and Noah share everything—except the one thing Echo’s just not ready for.

But when the source of Echo’s constant nightmares comes back into her life, she has to make some tough decisions about what she really wants—even as foster kid Noah’s search for his last remaining relatives forces them both to confront some serious truths about life, love, and themselves.

Now, with one week left before college orientation, jobs and real life, Echo must decide if Noah’s more than the bad-boy fling everyone warned her he’d be. And the last leg of an amazing road trip will turn . . . seriously epic.

Click here to check the book out on Amazon

Also Katie has rewritten some of the scenes from Pushing the Limits from Noah’s point of view, which I love because I have always wonder what he was thinking and feeling in the book.

Click here to check the rewritten scenes out!

Has anyone else purchased this book? Are you also excited to read it?

So excited for Highland Ever After!

Highland Ever After – Maya Banks  (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs book 3)

excitedfor

I have never talked about this series on my blog but I am honestly counting down the days for the 3rd book in the series. Last time I checked this book’s release had been pushed forward to 2016 so while casually browsing Book Depository I saw this and nearly cried. Only 14 days to go? The release date has obviously been brought forward and I’m so excited. I need this book and I need it now so I have put it on pre-order, these books are one of my favourites. I may in the future reread the books so I can do a proper review on them.

The synopsis of the book is:

After Scotland’s three strongest clans forge a formidable alliance, an uneasy king plots to consolidate power. Knowing that true strength lies in possessing land, fealty, and hearts, he orders sweet Taliesan McHugh to submit to a marriage that will give him control of the coveted McHugh keep. A tender beauty, Taliesan accepts her fate, certain that her lame leg has made her undesirable to any man—until she is swept into the powerful embrace of rugged, devilishly sensual Brodie Armstrong, a warrior who vows to shield her from brutality at any cost.

Fearless and bold, Brodie refuses his king’s command to stand down. Instead, he conspires to rescue the rare beauty whose bravery and innocence stir his blood as no woman ever has. As desperate power struggles reverberate throughout the Highlands, Brodie defies his king and devotes himself to the only mission that commands his loyalty, his blood, and his honor: winning Taliesan’s heart.

Has anyone else read this series and if so what do you think?

Have you heard? Cover for Shadow Study – Maria V Snyder

I am majorly excited about the 3 new books being released by Maria continuing the Posion Study Series based on Yelena and Valek. I came across some updates which I had to share!

shadowstudycover

shadowstudybackcover

Synopsis:

New York Times bestselling author Maria V. Snyder wowed readers with Poison Study, the unforgettable story of poison taster Yelena. Now she’s back with a new tale of intrigue.

Once, only her own life hung in the balance.

Oddly enough, when Yelena was a poison taster, her life was simpler. But she’d survived to become a vital part of the balance of power between rival countries Ixia and Sitia. Now she uses her magic to keep the peace in both lands and protect her relationship with Valek.

Suddenly, though, they are beset on all sides by those vying for power through politics and intrigue. Valek’s job – and his life – are in danger. As Yelena tries to uncover the scope of these plots, she faces a new challenge: her magic is blocked. She must keep that a secret – or her enemies will discover just how vulnerable she really is – while searching for who or what is responsible for neutralizing her powers.

Yes, the days of tasting poisons were much simpler. And certainly not as dangerous..

I am fangirling at the moment!! How pretty is the cover and the synopsis is just wow to. You can actually read the first chapter of Shadow Study on Maria V Snyder’s website, click here. I have read the first chapter and I need to now discuss it. It is amazing. Maria confirmed that there will be flashbacks from Valek’s childhood which will be intresting to read, I really want to know more about him. The other details that Maria confirmed on her Facebook are below:

“As promised, here are a few more details about the SHADOW STUDY – yes, it’s a new book with Yelena and Valek (if you didn’t know – where have you been?).

•It is tentatively scheduled to be released early January 2015 in the US, but I’m sure the UK and AU will be releasing the book very close to the US date.

•Yelena and Valek’s POV will alternate chapters, starting with Yelena.

•There may be sections of Janco’s POV (working that out with my editor)

•The reason the book is titled, SHADOW STUDY is because during Valek’s chapters, there are a number of flashbacks to his past and the place where he learned how to be an assassin is called, The School of Night and Shadows

•The second of the new set of Study books (3 planned in all) is tentatively titled, NIGHT STUDY. No title for #3 yet!

•As for the story – it starts soon after the events in SPY GLASS. Valek is returning to Ixia because the Commander has ordered him home – seems crafty smugglers have found a new route into Ixia and he needs Valek and Ari and Janco to investigate.

•After an all too brief vacation with Valek, Yelena has to deal with an increasing anti-magician sentiment from the Sitian Council and she goes on a mission to find Ben Moon (Owen Moon’s brother). Ben escaped from Wirral prison. Ben had tried to kill Yelena after Owen was executed in Ixia. To read the story about Owen Moon’s nefarious deeds go here (in fact, Ben has a pretty big part in SHADOW STUDY so you may want to go and re-read the story before January). http://www.mariavsnyder.com/IceStudy….Familiar characters that are in SHADOW STUDY – Leif, Mara, Opal, Devlen, Reema, Bain, Irys, Maren, and Kiki of course!

•New characters – Onora (young hot shot female assassin), Gerik (new soldier for the Commander’s detail), Ben Moon, Hedda (Head Mistress of the school of Night and Shadows), and Arbon (a fellow assassin trainee that was in school with Valek).

I hope that satisfies some of the curiosity (or did I make it worse?)”

Who else is now excited???
