Make me a book recommendation!

Hello lovely people of the internet. I know you’re thinking you are you again but I will get into blogging if it’s the last things I do. I don’t want to make excuses but I have found my motivation for reading and blogging is at an all time low. I have been reading, at a slower rate and less books than normal as I have not been enjoying them as much and so this has impacted my blogging. I think why write a blog post for a book I thought was ok, this would be fine if it was one book but multiple books? Don’t get me wrong the books I have read recently have been ok but nothing has blown me away or got me hooked to the story. I think the problem is that YA is one of my favourite genres but I’ve read some books of this genre recently and think the characters are just too immature? I’m not enjoying then that much at all anymore. I don’t think i’ve grown out of YA I think I need a break from it, I am in a reading funk. So this is where my rambling post comes to I would like some book recommendation please. Is there a book that you’re favourite have you just read one that’s blown you away? I would honestly love to know all your suggestions, I’m hoping they can get my out of my reading funk!!

I’m now going to check out all the amazing posts that I’ve missed! I look forward to catching up on all the great blogs out there. Let me know if there’s anything extra exciting that i’ve missed 😀

  1. I can completely relate! I’m doing my best to finish off as many YA series as possible this year so I only have four for 2016, then I’d like to delve back into less hyped books, things that aren’t necessarily classified as YA or adult but just look good on a library shelf with no pressure to love it attached. I’d recommend you read the lunar chronicles if you haven’t already which is a cross between YA and children’s fiction, or to kill a mockingbird, Dracula or Before I go to sleep by S.J Watson which is am AMAZING adult thriller/mystery that completely blew me away, hope you get out of your funk soon!

    • Thank you! I’ve read the first lunar chronicles but I will read the rest. I still need to read how to kill a mockingbird. I am probably the only person who hasn’t read it yet. Thanks for the awesome recommendations. 🙂

  2. I feel ya! I went through a massive reading slump a few weeks ago! Nothing was clicking and it was very frustrating so I can totally relate!

Some books I’ve enjoyed lately (not sure if you’ve read these or not): Nowhere but Here, A Court of Thorns and Roses and Fangirl.

    Best of luck 😉
